Another great point and click for Apple Arcade, Steam and GOG

My favourite video games genres are point and clicks, interactive adventures or any story-driven games. Jenny LeClue seemed like the perfect game for my commute to work in the mornings.
I have a spare hour every day on my way to work, and this game was the perfect entertainment for that time.

A mystery is unfolding!

This 2D Scroll lateral point and click tell the story of Jenny LeClue, a little girl who wants to be a detective, and she is excellent! She is brilliant and tries to solve as many mysteries as she can find along her path.

In Jenny LeClue we can find gorgeous hand-painted environments and original graphics for the characters.
The animations are for 2D skeletal animation, which always gives something unique to the games.

When Jenny walks or runs, the camera follows along and zoom in and out, which gives it a nice smooth movement flow.
The game uses the zoom game mechanic quite often. When a character is talking the camera zooms in toward them, and you can see them talking and their expressions very clearly.

I love the fact that the narrator and Jenny tell the story at the same time. Jenny LeClue is a fictional character invented by the narrator who is a famous writer.
When there is a new chapter on the story, you can see floating sentences on the background placed by the narrator.
Other times, when Jenny is thinking by herself, the narrator appears at the bottom as Jenny is talking to him.

You control Jenny, but you are also part of her world.

The Gameplay feels like a real detective!

It is a lovely touch when you start the game, and the first you do is familiarize yourself with the deduction mechanics of the game.
That is a perfect way to show how to play the game without feeling that you are reading a boring long…
